Ruth
Levinson Lerner, age 97, passed away on
Saturday, February 5th, in San Antonio,
Texas. |

Ruth was
born on October 28th, 1924, she lived a
fulfilling life as a mother,
grandmother, great grandmother, sister,
wife, and friend. She graduated from
Jefferson High School and received her
Bachelor of Arts degree from Trinity
University. She was happily married for
46 years to her husband, Alex Lerner,
and was very close with her sisters.
Ruth was a long-time real estate agent
in San Antonio, an avid bridge player,
and exercise advocate. |

She is
preceded in death by her parents, Eva
and Alex Levinson; husband, Alex Lerner;
and sister, Betty Wise. Survivors
include her daughters, Joni Lerner Ross
and husband Barry, Peggy Lerner Belasco
and husband Dr. Marvin; grandchildren,
Dr. Jennifer Belasco and husband Dr.
Devin Peck, Brooke Hernandez and husband
Rick, Bradley Belasco and wife Kathryn
Sinclair, and Victoria Ross Nueser;
great grandchildren, Xander Peck,
Madeleine Peck, Cameron Hernandez, and
Bennett Hernandez; and her beloved
sister, Margie Gernsbacher. |

The family
would like to thank Karen Kosub and her
loving staff at the Forum at Lincoln
Heights for their wonderful care. A
family graveside service was held, and
donations in her memory may be sent to
