Roxie Lillian Davis Mezzetti was born in Yoakum,
Texas on April 9, 1934 to Russie Baillup Davis and Annie Jane Parker Davis and
passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2024 at the age of 89. |

She is
survived by her sisters, Lola Davis and
Beverly Dixon; daughters, Kerry Garibay
(Lorenzo, Jr.), Claire Reynolds (Richard
J., III), Molly Zaldivar (Christopher),
and Toni Holmes (Jonathan);
grandchildren, Richard J., IV (Emily),
William Scott (Kathleen), Katherine C.
Reynolds, Zachary and Sophia Zaldivar,
Madeline and Jonathan Holmes, Lorenzo,
III (Jasmin), Mallory Johnson (Brett),
Marissa Thompson (Mark); great
grandchildren, Riley, Hadley and Richard
J.V. Reynolds, Olivia, Mark and Luke
Thompson, Emma Garibay; as well as many
other family and friends. |

She was
preceded in death by her parents, her
husband, William Lawrence Mezzetti;
sisters, Frankie J. Davis, Sylvia Davis,
Merle Coombs, Ethel Henry, and brother,
Royal Davis. |
|
Roxie
spent years working with her husband as
the financial brains behind Bill
Mezzetti Tire Company. They worked
side-by-side, he was the love of her
life. Roxie and Bill loved to travel
enjoying trips together to all parts of
the world, especially to their special
fun place, Las Vegas. |
|
She was a
devoted and charter member of Blessed
Sacrament Catholic Church, and in later
years she served as a leader in the
Altar Society. She also enjoyed being a
member of the Oblate Associates of the
Oblates of Mary Immaculate. She dearly
loved the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of
Jesus who educated her four girls at
Mount Sacred Heart School for Girls. In
later years she continued to pursue her
love of travel with her sister, Lola,
from The Great Wall of China to Machu
Picchu to the Trans-Siberian Railroad!
She enjoyed bridge, mahjong and cards
with special friends and aerobic
exercise with her "Water Nymphs" group. |

A Rosary
was recited on February 22 at the Chapel
of the Immaculate Conception, Oblate
School of Theology. The Mass of the
Resurrection was celebrated on February
23, also at the Chapel of the Immaculate
Conception, followed by interment at San
Fernando Cemetery II. |

In lieu of
flowers, memorial donations may be made
to The Oblate School of Theology, the
Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus,
Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, or to
the charity of your choice. |
