On the
evening of January 1, 2016, Robert
passed away at Huebner Creek Health and
Rehabilitation Center in San Antonio, TX
from natural causes. Robert was 89 years
old. Robert Berns was born in the town
of Detroit, MI on February 17, 1926, the
son of Vergill and Alvina Berns. |

Robert
enlisted in the Army-Air Corps in August
14, 1943 and served until December 1946.
After getting his college degree he
entered the U.S. Air Force in August
1952 as a Second Lieutenant and retired
with a distinguished career as a Colonel
in June 1972. Robert is survived by
loving wife, Evelyn Mae, daughters,
Leslie Robison and Carol Snavely,
step-daughter Elizabeth Jones, and
brother William Berns and wife, Joyce
Berns. Robert has six grandchildren and
13 great grandchildren. |

to be buried at Arlington National
Cemetery at a date to be determined.
Robert's favorite charity is the
National Humane Society. |
