Formerly of Little Ferry, NJ. Attended Lodi High School. Excelled in
basketball, football, baseball and tennis. Made All County
Basketball in 1948 and All State Basketball in 1949. World War II
Veteran as a B24 pilot. Acquired BS degree from Seton Hall and an MA
from Columbia. Played basketball for Seton Hall and inducted into
their Hall of Fame. Briefly played professional basketball for the
Baltimore Bullets and Paterson Crescents (1949-1951). Pilot for the
Arabian American Oil Company (Aramco) for 16 years and AT&T for 20
years. Private pilot for John Travolta from 1993 to 2000. Won the
National Senior Olympic senior singles title in 1995 and was ranked
number 1 in the Texas Tennis Association from 1994 to 1999. Survived
by wife Marlene Janotta and daughters Marnie and Jill. |
