William
"Billy" C. Clegg, Jr., age 86, passed
away on Friday, August 16, 2013. A Texas
native, Billy was born in San Antonio
and held a degree from UT Austin. He was
President of Clegg Printing Company, and
later developed a prestigious career in
commercial real estate. Billy was a
member of the Order of the Alamo,
serving as Lord High Chamberlain and
President during the fifties. He will
long be remembered for his outstanding
record of involvement in The Texas
Cavaliers and Rotary Club. Billy had
many passions in his life, but none more
important to him than his children and
grandchildren. He was an avid hunter and
fisherman. Billy was a nationally ranked
bridge player who had achieved Life
Master of Duplicate Bridge status.
Billy's high standards in his
professional and personal life will be
remembered by all those whose life he
touched. He is preceded in death by his
parents, William C. Clegg, Sr. and wife
Agnes. He is survived by his beloved
children: Cynthia Katina Ling and
husband, Steve; Virginia Lindzey; Bill
C. Clegg III and wife, Monica; the
mother of his children: Katina Friedland;
and grandsons: Garrett Clegg, Gregory
Ling, Christopher Ling, Jonathan Lindzey
and Tobin Lindzey. |
