District 16 Teacher of the Year
District 16 proudly honors and supports its bridge teachers. New players, many of whom become our students, are the lifeblood of the game, and the teachers who nurture and prepare them deserve our appreciation. In this spirit, the Teacher of the Year award is given annually to an outstanding District teacher.

2025 District 16 Teacher of the Year Nominations
- The nomination period for 2025 D16 Teacher of the Year will be September 1 through November 30, 2024. Prior to and during that period, you will see a Scorecard article and receive at least one D16 email with nominating instructions.
- Any District member may submit a nomination -- students and fellow teachers, players and directors, club and unit board members. All it takes is a brief statement of why you think your favorite teacher deserves this honor.
- Nominees will be asked to provide a more complete description of their teaching activities and to have it in our hands by December 31, 2024. The 2025 Teacher of the Year award will be presented at the Houston Lone Star Regional in early 2025.
