Karen's Bridge Library (http://www.prairienet.org/bridge/): a world-class reference site. Something for every level of player. Run by Karen Walker, who also is editor of the District 8 Advocate (bi-monthly newsletter).

Richard Pavlicek's Home Page (http://www.rpbridge.net/rpbr.htm): World class site. Bridge quizzes, play of the hand, bidding, you name it. This is the man who does all those analyses for the hand records you get at the nation-wide Instant Matchpoint Game. He also has a useful page full of web links (http://www.rpbridge.net/links.htm)

Bridge Conventions (http://www.bridgeguys.com/conventions.html) : as stated in the title

OK Bridge (http://www.okbridge.com): premier online bridge, for a modest monthly fee. World-wide clientele, with at least a couple hundred players even in the dead of night (FYI: India, China, New Zealand & Australia LOVE to play at 3 am Central time). Play casual bridge for a few hands or forever. Currently, they schedule twelve (12) tournaments between 8 a.m. and midnight Central time -- all 12-board mini-tournaments, with 3 pairs of those designated as "combos" to form 3 24-board games with a short intermission at the half.

A fairly extensive reference library is part of their site. Also, the site has a convention card program which you fill out (and save, of course) & publish to other players at your table. This convention card program also lets you print your own cards, which are acceptable at all ACBL tournaments.

ACBL Online (http://www.acbl.com) -- the official ACBL site for online bridge, for a modest fee. Numerous subscription plans. If you are going to try playing in their tourneys (un-pigmented masterpoints awarded), probably your best deal is to take one month UNLIMITED tourneys (they get used up faster than you would think) to see how it goes for you. Currently they offer about ten (10) open mini-tourneys a day, with 3 longer (18, 24, 24) ones on the weekend. They also offer one mini-tourney daily, restricted to those ACBL players with less than 300 MPs.
