The San Antonio Bridge League is a part of  District 16 of the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL). There are nine open and four invitational clubs in Unit 172. We hold from four to seven sectional tournaments every year and conduct a Regional tournament in odd-numbered years. Unit 172 hosted the Summer Nationals in 1999.

Our unit includes about 800 members from Boerne, Del Rio, Floresville, Fredericksburg, Gonzales, Helotes, Hondo, Karnes City, Kerrville, New Braunfels, San Antonio, Seguin, Ulvalde, and Universal City.
